Don't let vacations and following your training plan overwhelm you. Use it as an adventure! Below are some ideas on how to enjoy your vacation and get your running in.
Research before the vacation to find great running areas to go explore. Running in a new area has new scenery and sight seeing. You will be able to notice things you might not in car. I love taking in a new running area.
Schedule your workout in the morning when you will be waking up before everyone else. If you can do it, a morning run is the best, because you can spend the rest of your day with your family and friends.
Run relaxed and enjoy yourself. While you should try and get your runs in, you can do this in moderation. Remember that vacations are there to help you unwind.
Don't over stress! Vacations are supposed to be fun and relaxing. You can use this time to spend time with family/friends relax, and train. Another great way to do this is try and schedule group running and/or other active events together!
