Who has a busy schedule? I think most people can answer yes to this question. Work, family, events and other commitments can make it difficult to be dedicated to your walking and running. The nice thing about running is you have lots of places to choose from beyond a gym to go for a run!
Below are some ideas of how you can plan ahead, and schedule to get your workout in. I suggest each week writing down what you have going on and make sure your walks/runs make on the calendar. Seeing your these on the calendar will help keep you more committed to training.
Next, have a bag packed with gear. You never know when you might have time to sneak in a workout! I suggest having another pair of shoes at home so you won't be at a loss if you forget to bring them back with you.
Lastly, if something comes up on your long run day, try not to cancel your run completely. If you can try to get a short quality run in that's helpful. Even a short run is better than nothing! This is a great time to try and pick up your speed and practice keeping good form.
Make sure you reward yourself for your training and commitment!
